FRIZZY HAIR ZAPPER
1/2 cup conditioner
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon almond oil
Directions:
Mix ingredients, blend well. Pour mixture over damp hair, work it in....leave on for about 20 minutes for a good deep conditioning. Wash out. This works for all hair types



HONEY HAIR CONDITIONING TREATMENT

Mix 1/2 Pure Honey with 1/4 cup olive oil.
Use 2 tablespoons for normal to oily hair.
Using a small amount at a time, work mixture through hair until coated.
Cover hair with a shower cap and leave on 30 minutes.
Shampoo well and rinse; dry as usual


Chamomile Shampoo
2 tsp.. dried chamomile
1/4 cup boiling water
1/4 cup baby shampoo (or another mild variety)
Pour the boiling water over the chamomile and steep for 30 minutes, strain, then mix into the shampoo and use as usual.


Chamomile Hair Conditioner
1/3 cup chamomile flowers
1/3 cup olive, safflower or sunflower oil
Clean jar with lid
Combine the chamomile and oil in a jar with a lid. Place on a sunny windowsill and shake the jar at once a day. After two weeks, strain out the herbs. To apply, use about 2-4 teaspoons, depending on the length of your hair. Brush out your hair and apply to the hair ends, avoiding the scalp.
Leave on about ten minutes, then shampoo out.


Chamomile Hair Rinse
1 cup boiling water
1 tsp. chamomile flowers
Pour the water over the chamomile; steep until it cools to lukewarm. Strain out the flowers. This will soothe your scalp. To use pour over your hair as a rinse after shampooing.



BLACK TEA AND SAGE RINSE
(for darkening gray hair)
3 T. black tea
3 T. sage
1 teapot freshly boiled water
Steep black tea and sage in water. Allow to cool and use as a hair rinse, pouring the tea repeatedly over the hair. Rinse with tepid water.


CHAMOMILE HAIR RINSE
4 oz. distilled water
1 oz. glycerin
8 oz. chamomile tea (let tea steep, then remove liquid from the dregs)
1 oz. coconut oil
1 oz. powdered orrisroot
3 drops tincture of violet or rose


CHAMPAGNE HAIR RINSE
This is an old French secret for making hair shiny, silky, and healthy. If you have light-colored hair, it brings out the golden lights in it. It will not dry or damage the tresses.
1/2 C. old champagne
1/2 C. hot water
Mix; after shampooing and rinsing well, pour the mixture through the hair. DO NOT rinse again. You can use a conditioner before using the Champagne Hair Rinse if desired. The hair is left looking vital and lustrous, with pale champagne highlights.


BAKING SODA RINSE
1/2 C. baking soda
1 C. warm water
Dissolve baking soda in warm water. Pour over hair after shampooing. Massage into the hair and scalp for several minutes, then rinse. This will efficiently clean and shine the hair.


CHERRY BARK AND BLACK TEA HAIR COLOR
Prepare a strong tea from black tea leaves and cherry bark. Use as a rinse after shampooing, finishing with a water rinse.


COFFEE RINSE
(for brunettes and redheads)
8 cups warm brewed coffee
After shampooing rinse hair with coffee. Do not rinse it out. Your hair will be rich and shiny.


DANDRUFF CONTROL RINSE
1 C. apple cider vinegar
6 aspirins, crushed
1/4 C. witch hazel
Combine all ingredients and store in a tightly capped jar or bottle. After shampooing, gently massage rinse into your hair, leave it on for 10 minutes, then rinse again with warm water.


LEMON RINSE
(for light hair)
2 C. white vinegar
2 C. water
1/4 C. lemon juice
1/4 C. chamomile flowers
Combine ingredients in a glass or enamel pan and boil for 15 minutes.
Strain cool and store in a tightly capped bottle.
After shampooing, pour 1/2 cup over the hair, then rinse.


ROSEMARY RINSE
(for dull hair)
4 T. rosemary
2 C. water
Boil rosemary in water for 10 minutes. Strain; cool.
Pour one cup over damp, shampooed hair. Massage into scalp. Rinse.
Save the rest for another treatment.


ROSEMARY-SAGE HAIR SHINE RINSE
3 T. rosemary
1 1/2 qt. water
2 T. sage
Boil all together for 15 minutes. Strain; let come to room temperature and refrigerate. Pour this over your hair and let it sit for 2 minutes. Rinse. Your hair should have a nice shine.


SAGE RINSE
(for dark hair)
2 C. malt or red wine vinegar
2 C. water
1/4 C. sage
Combine ingredients in a glass or enamel pan and boil for 15 minutes.
Strain cool, and store in a tightly capped bottle.
After shampooing, pour 1/2 cup over hair, then rinse.


SEA RINSE
(for damaged hair)
1/4 C. sea kelp
1 C. Lemon Rinse or Sage Rinse
Combine kelp and rinse in a glass jar, cap tightly, and shake well. Apply generously to freshly-shampooed hair. Leave on for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.


SPEARMINT HAIR RINSE
This creates shine and controls oiliness.
1 qt. water
3 heaping tsp. spearmint leaves
Boil water with spearmint leaves. Cool and refrigerate. Use as an after-shampoo rinse.


TOMATO JUICE RINSE
This restores pH balance to hair, making it shiny and more manageable.
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 C. tomato juice
Mix. Comb through clean, wet hair. Leave on for 10 minutes and rinse.



VINEGAR RINSE
This will remove the last traces of shampoo and give the hair extra shine and a soft, smooth, texture. Vinegar restores the proper acidic pH balance to hair.

Add a few tablespoons of a pleasant-scented vinegar, such as raspberry or plum, to your rinse water. You can use this rinse after every shampoo, if desired.
