Invigorating Bath Foam
A colorful ribbon bow and an attractive glass bottle with a stopper are all you need to turn this castile soap-base bath foam into a great gift. Just a few tablespoons can turn a bath into a fragrant, cleansing, and refreshing spa treatment. Use fresh lavender, rosemary, sage, and thyme from your garden, or purchase them at a local nursery. Substitute dried herbs if fresh ones are not available. Add coriander oil for fragrance and for its cleansing and stimulating properties.

What You'll Need
5 short stems lavender
3 to 4 stems each blooming rosemary, sage, and thyme
16 ounces unscented liquid castile soap or shampoo
5 drops coriander essential oil
Decorative bottle with stopper or lid, eyedropper, fine sieve, bowl, funnel

Ingredient Info
If you have access to garden herbs, harvest blooming stems early in the morning, just before flowers open, so that their essential oils are most intense. If you must substitute dried herbs, use about half the quantity of the fresh herbs.

The Steps
1. With their stems facing up, put fragrant herbs into clean jar with lid.

2. Pour liquid castile soap and coriander oil over herbs. Tilt jar back and forth until herbs are submerged.

3. Close jar and place it in warm, sunny spot for 2 to 3 weeks to infuse soap with fragrance and properties of herbs.

4. Shake jar occasionally to mix settled contents.

5. Pour contents of jar through fine sieve set over bowl. Press down on herbs.

6. Using funnel, transfer bath foam to decorative bottle; close with stopper or lid. For gift-giving, include the following instructions: Pour 3 tablespoons bath foam under running water as you fill tub. No additional soap will be necessary.
This makes enough bath foam for 10 baths.

Dispersing Bath Oil
Most bath oils simply float on water. Dispersing bath oil mixes evenly with water, clings to skin and forms a thin, even coating.

1/2 cup baby or mineral oil
2 teaspoons liquid detergent
1/4 cup vodka
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup whole milk
Fragrant essential oil (optional)
Liquid food coloring (optional)

Mix all ingredients in a blender for 30 seconds. Use only 1 or 2 tablespoons of the oil in a bathtub of water. Shelf-life at room temperature is about 18 months!

Dragon's Blood Crystal Bath
