Crystal Blessing Water
This water can be used in Baby Blessings, House Blessings, Handfastings, and many other blessings.
In a glass bottle with an air tight top, combine:
1 clear quartz crystal
2 ounces filtered rain water or spring/well water
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Shake well after sealing the top, and let stand for one lunar month to charge. Best time to make it is at the new or full moon.
Blessing/Sealing Oil for House Cleansings
This oil can be used to bless and seal a home during cleansing/exorcism rituals to keep icky energy and nasty critters out.
1 part sage oil
1/2 part Dragons Blood Oil
1/2 part Cypress Oil
Mix the oils together and use as is, or add 1 part carrier oil (such as safflower or sweet almond) to make it go farther.
House Cleansing Incense
This is a self-smoldering incense. No charcoal is needed to burn this.
1 part each of:v
Ground Cloves
Ground Sage
1/8 part each of:
Ground Dragon's Blood Resin
Powdered Sea Salt
Light and burn through out the home during house cleansing rituals, or in Sacred Space/Circle before rituals to purify the area.
Floor/Carpet Sweep for House Cleansings
This can be used on both hard flooring and carpeting during house cleansings, and can be vacummed from carpeting. Be sure to test it in a hidden corner of carpeting BEFORE using it, to make sure it doesn't stain (though it shouldn't, but better safe than sorry!).
3 cups baking soda
1/2 cup house cleansing incense (see recipe)
Mix well, and sprinkle it on the floors. Let it set for 30 minutes or so, then sweep/vacumm up. Be sure to dispose of it outside (including vacumm bag) when done.
Louisiana Swamp Water
This brew can be used for house cleansings and exorcisms, and for protection rituals in the home. It can be added to mop water, or sprinkled around the area.
Mix together:
1 gallon of filtered well or rain water
1/2 cup chopped cypress wood and/or bark
1/2 cup Spanish Moss (with or with out chiggers)
9 acorns, crushed
2 whole cayenne peppers
In a large pot or cast iron cauldron, bring water to a boil. Add in the cypress and acorns, take off heat,and let steep for 1 hour, covered. Add the other ingredients, place in large glass jar or bottle, and let stew for at least one week before straining to use.
Gel Potpourri
You can use any oil to suit your needs, so this recipe is totally adaptable for ritual, spells, or aromatherapy.
You will need:
2 cups of distilled water
Essential oil/fragrance of your choice.
4 packages of knox gelatin
Food coloring (optional, your choice for intent)
Heat 1 cup of water almost to a boil. Add the gelatin and stir until dissolved. Remove from heat add another cup of distilled water, 10-20 drops of oil/fragrance, and food coloring if desired.
You can replace food coloring and oil/fragrance with premade liquid potpourri (available at most craft stores, candle shops, etc.). Just make sure it's the concentrated kind or it won't retain its smell. The procedure would be the same. Heat 1 cup of the liquid potpourri, almost to a boil.
Stir in 4 packets of Knox gelatin, until dissolved. Then stir in 1 cup cool liquid potpourri.
Pour the mixture into clean baby food jars and set at room temperature overnight until "set". You can place the jars in the refrigerator if you need them to set more quickly, but be aware that the smell will permeate the fridge.
Full Moon Oil
4 parts Gardenia
2 parts Lotus
1 part Jasmine
or
3 parts Sandalwood
2 parts Lemon
1 part Rose
Anoint the body prior to Esbats to attune with Lunar energies
Power Oil
This oil can be used in rituals, spells, or to annoint tools, candles, etc, to give them a lot more "kick".
3 parts Roux (not the herb rue) Oil(see directions for making roux)
1 part Dragon's Blood Oil
Mix the two oils together well. Shake before each use.
To make Roux: mix equal parts oil and all purpose flour together, in a black cast iron skillet. Heat on medium-high, stirring constantly wiyth a WOODEN spoon, until it is a dark brown/chocolate color. Turn off heat, and let cool
Drain oil from the top of the mix, filter it, and store in a jar. The browned flour mix can be kept and used in Cajun dishes, such as gumbo (which is great for fall and winter Sabbats!).
Altar Oil
4 parts Frankincense
3 parts Myrrh
1 part Galangal
1 part Vervain
1 part Lavender
Annoint the altar with this oil at regular intervals to purify and empower it.
To Make Anointing Ointment
Take a glazed pan half full of grease or olive oil. Put in sweet mint leaves bruised. Place pan in hot water bath. Stir occasionally. After four or five hours pour into linen bag and squeeze grease through into pot again and fill with fresh leaves. Repeat until grease is strongly scented. Do same with marjoram, thyme and pounded dried patchouli leaves, an you may have them (for they be best of all). When strongly scented, mix all the greases together and keep in a well-stoppered jar.
Anoint behind ears, throat, breasts and womb. In rites where Blessed be ... may be said, anoint knees and feet, as also for rites connected with journeys or war.
Goddess Oil
3 parts Rose
2 parts Gardenia
1 part Lemon
1 part Lotus
1 part Ambergris
Wear to honor the Goddess during rituals.
Horned God Oil
2 parts Frankincense
2 parts Cinnamon
1 part Bay
1 part Rosemary
1 part Musk
Wear to honor the Horned God during rituals.
Sabbat Oil
3 parts Patchouli
2 parts Musk
1 part Carnation
or
2 parts Frankincense
1 part Myrrh
1 part Carnation
1 part Allspice
Wear to the Sabbats to promote communion with the deities.
Sensual Massage Powder
This is used for giving massages instead of oil, and feels just as wonderful, so long as you are sure to use a good quality corn starch and not cheap store brands.
Mix together:
5 parts corn starch
1 part powdered, sifted patchouli herb (be sure to have ALL stems and sticks out of it)
10 drops sandalwood oil or 1/2 part finely powdered sandalwood
10 drops musk oil
Keep it in a glass jar for storage. Let it stand for at least 5 days before use, so that the scents intermingle, shaking 2 -3 times a day to mix it well It can also be added to a bath to soften and scent the skin.
Cleansing/Purification Bath Soap
This can be made as a bar soap as well, just add the oils to your soap base instead of using liquid soap.
Mix one part each:
Sage Oil
Dragon's Blood Oil
Cypress Oil
Add to 8 parts liquid soap base.
Use this soap before ritual or spellwork, or when you feel psychically or spiritually dirty or sluggish.
Healing Bath Soap/Bubble Bath
This soap can Be used as a bubble bath as well, and is wonderful when feeling overwhelmed with life, stressed out, or after a psychological/emotional trauma.
Mix together:
1 part rosemary tea(steep 1 teaspoon rosemary with 1 cup hot water for 20 minutes)
1 part chamomile tea(1 teaspoon herb to 1 cup hot water steeped for 20 minutes)
6 parts liquid soap
10 drops jasmine oil
10 drops magnolia oil
10 drops cypress oil
Shake well before use. Add 1/4 cup to hot/warm bath and soak yourself.
Sensual Bath Soap/Bubble Bath
This soap makes a wonderful precursor to a romantic night or a fun bubble bath for couples to share, that warms up the atmosphere".
Mix together:
6 parts liquid bath soap
15 drops Musk Oil
8 drops sandalwood oil
8 drops Jasmine Oil
Super Sleep Dream Pillow Mix
This mixture is great if you have trouble sleeping, as well as for helping to induce prophetic and astral dreams. Mix together:
1 part mugwort herb
1 part catnip herb
1 part lavender flowers
1 part dry rice (to help the herbs crush and release their scent)
Put this mixture into a pillow and place it inside your pillow's case on the side that you sleep on. Mush it around a bit before you lay down to recieve the maximum effect.
Hot Foot Powder
This powder is great for getting rid of annoying and bothersome people and situations. Just be sure that you do NOT inhale it on accident or get it in anyones face, as it can sting like the dickens. Mix together:
1 part cayenne pepper
1 part black pepper
3 parts talc or corn starch
1 part garlic powder
Sprinkle this powder in the path or in the footprints of the person annoying you or that you want to be rid of, or scatter to the wind while thinking of the situation you wish to be rid of. It can be loaded into candles if you leave out the corn starch or talc.
Lover's Honey #1
This honey can be added to foods, eaten alone, or used in any other creative way, so long as it is ingested. It should be placed in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid, and left to "brew" for at least one week and shaken a few times a day. Strain before using, and store in a glass jar with tight fitting lid after straining.
Mix together:
2 cups honey
2 teaspoons whole cloves
1 cinnamon stickv
1 inch piece of vanilla bean
Lover's Honey #2
Another like the above, brew the same way.
Mix together:
2 cups jasmine or honeysuckle honey (check Farmer's Markets and Organic stores)
1 inch piece of vanilla bean
pinch of Saffron
1/2 inch piece of ginger root, peeled
Bed Warmer Powder
This powder can be sprinkled in and around the bed to warm things up for couples.
Mix together:
1 cup corn starch
3 tablespoons powdered Yohimbe
2 tablespoons powdered rose petals
2 tablespoons powdered mint leaves
Monster Go Away Spray for Kids
This spray is wonderful for small children who get scared by "monsters" at night. It not only shoos the boogies away and protects them, but the smell lulls them to sleep, and it makes them feel empowered against the scary things. All they have to do is spray it a few times in the room to make the scaries go away (be sure to have it set on mist and not squirt!).
In a 12 to 16 ounce spray bottle, mix together:
10 drops each of:
chamomile oil
lavender oil
Jasmine oil
lilac oil
5 drops of dragons blood oil
11 to 15 ounces of filtered rain or well water
1 ounce of vodka (binder for the oils and water)
Four Thieves Vinegar #1
This can be added to mop water when doing house cleansings or sprinkled/sprayed about to ward, exorcise, and protect the home from all negative entities, living and non-living. This does stain, so do not use on carpet or furniture.
Mix together in a glass jar:
15 ounces of Red Wine Vinegar
3 whole cinnamon sticks
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons whole cloves
1 teaspoon angelica root, chopped
Make on the dark moon, and set it in a place where the sunlight and moonlight will fall on it. Let it brew for one lunar month, strain, and store in a tight sealing glass bottle or jar.
Four Thieves Vinegar #2
Another like the above, brew the same way, and store it in a tight sealing glass jar. This one does not stain most fabrics, but you should spot test before use.
Mix together:
15 ounces white vinegar
3 cinnamon sticks
2 teaspoons whole cloves
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 teaspoons or one whole cayenne pepper
3 inch sprig of fresh or 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
A SACHET FOR RITUAL ROBES

3 parts Sandalwood
1 part cinnamon
1 part myrrh
1 part frankincense
1 part clove
2 parts orris
carnation oil and a bit of lemon grass oil.
